23074563: On 12/27/23 at approximately 9:35 PM, Somerville Police responded to a business on Holland St for report of a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, officers conducted a search of the business and located a male party inside. He was then placed under arrest.

23074344: On 12/26/23 at approximately 6:47 PM, Somerville Police responded to the West Somerville School for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who stated four juveniles broke into the school via the side door. Nothing was reported missing.

23074530: On 12/27/23 at approximately 6:16 PM, Somerville Police responded to a business on Prospect St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he arrived for work in the morning and observed the front door had been forced open and multiple drawers had been rummaged through. Nothing was reported missing.
Armed Robbery
24000046: On 1/1/24 at approximately 11:05 AM, Somerville Police responded to a business on McGrath Hwy for report of a man with a knife. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the manager who stated a male party entered the store and proceeded to shoplift various items. When the manager approached him, the suspect dropped the items and brandished a knife at him.
Residential Breaking and Entering
23075255: On 12/31/23 at approximately 7:25 PM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Knapp St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she went out and when she returned to her apartment, observed a male party inside. The suspect then fled out the back door. A speaker was reported stolen.

23074757: On 12/29/23 at approximately 12:45 AM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Caldwell Ave for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she and her partner were watching TV then noticed a male party inside the apartment. The suspect then left out the back door. Nothing was reported missing.

23075035: On 12/30/23 at approximately 10:00 AM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Park Ave for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was reviewing his surveillance system and observed a male party enter his home a few hours earlier. Nothing was reported stolen.
Assault
24000008: On 1/1/24 at approximately 12:42 AM, Somerville Police responded to Washington St for report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with two victims who stated they were at a party inside an apartment complex and were approached by a group of females. Two of the females then began to attack the victims. During the fight, one of the suspects brandished a knife. Both victims suffered several injuries.
Arrest
23075273: On 12/31/23 at approximately 10:23 PM, Somerville Police responded to Ames St for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers observed a male party suffering from a stab wound to his face. He stated that he was involved in an altercation with another male party and was stabbed in the face with a screwdriver. Officers located the male suspect and he was placed under arrest.
