Arrest

25019004: On 4/8/25 at approximately 12:57 PM, Somerville Police responded to 165 Broadway for a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she got into an argument with a male party. During the argument, the male punched her in the face. Officers located the male nearby and he was placed under arrest.

25016391: On 3/26/25 at approximately 5:01 PM, Somerville Police took a report from a female who stated she was taking care of an elderly male at her workplace and was struck with a cane by the male.

Shots Fired

25015844: On 3/23/25 at approximately 9:56 PM, Somerville Police responded to Hathorn St for a report of shots fired for five rounds. Upon arrival, officers located four shell casings on Hathorn St. There were no victims reported.

Residential Breaking and Entering

25013820: On 3/13/25 at approximately 8:59 AM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Concord Ave for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated his bicycle and electric scooter were stolen from the common basement area.

Assault

25013007: On 3/9/25 at approximately 5:51 PM, Somerville Police responded to 779 McGrath Hwy for a weapons call. Upon arrival, officers encountered two juvenile males who stated they were being chased by a group of five juveniles with knives. Officers located the group of juvenile suspects nearby and identified them. Officers recovered knives from two of the juvenile suspects.

Commercial Breaking and Entering

25010987: On 2/27/25 at approximately 11:45 AM, Somerville Police responded to Conway Park for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with DPW workers who stated the snack shack was broken into and there was drug paraphernalia left behind.

Shots Fired Tuesday, February 25th, 2025

The Somerville Police Department, in cooperation with other law enforcement partners, are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday, February 25th, at approximately 12:05 AM. The SPD received two 911 calls for shots fired on Broadway, between North St. and Alewife Brook Parkway. Upon arrival, police discovered numerous shell casings and ballistic damage to fixed objects and vehicles. Police learned that the occupants of a vehicle stopped on Broadway and then shot at an individual who was on foot. There are no injuries reported and the matter remains under investigation. Shots Fired

25010429: On 2/25/25 at approximately 12:05 AM, Somerville Police responded to the area of Broadway and Alewife Brook Parkway for a report of shots fired. On scene, officers recovered several shell casings. Investigation is ongoing at this time.

Crime Log February 11 to February 17, 2025

Assault

25008776: On 2/16/25 at approximately 6:10 AM, Somerville Police responded to 376 Mystic Ave for an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he got into an altercation with a male party while shoveling snow in the parking lot. During the altercation, the suspect punched and kicked the victim then grabbed what was believed to be a firearm from his vehicle and made a racking motion.
